In September 2020 we launched our first Charity Partnership. Choosing a charity to support was easy as we knew the incredible impact that Penny Brohn UK had had on one of our members of staff following her own diagnosis. At a time where the NHS is more stretched that ever and cancer diagnoses are rising at an alarming rate, Penny Brohn UK are there providing vital emotional and practical support.
Whether patients need nutritional advice, exercise support, counselling, support from a GP or just to meet other people going through a similar experience, Penny Brohn are there for them. We were amazed at how they adapted during the pandemic; being one of the first cancer support charities to move their services online and helping thousands of people across the UK from the comfort of their own homes. The rest of the country can now benefit from what has been on our doorstops in Bristol for 40 years!
We decided to donate £25 for every composite door sold to Penny Brohn UK and we are delighted that to date over £8,000 has been donated! The partnership is still going strong and we are so excited to see how much we can raise next year with the support of our brilliant customers.
Penny Brohn UK’s Head of Events, Community & Corporate, Emma Gilmore said: “Penny Brohn UK is a registered charity and relies on donations to keep its services free for all who need them. If it wasn’t for the support of people and companies like Bristol Windows, we wouldn’t be able to support the thousands of people who need us. We are absolutely delighted to be partnered with Bristol Windows; they’ve raised an incredible amount of money so far and they’re only just getting started! On behalf of everyone at Penny Brohn UK, I’d like to extend a huge thank you to Bristol Windows employees and customers for their continued support and enabling us to continue to deliver such important care.”
We’d like to thank all our lovely customers who have helped us raise such a fantastic amount for Penny Brohn UK.
